Pogba remains focused on his goal
Football News – In what could arguably be considered one of the most scrutinized players in recent history, French midfielder Paul Pogba has finally managed to score a decent goal and be decisive with his national team this Monday against the Netherlands. Everybody was expecting him to shine and it took him a couple of months to get there after Manchester United turned him into the most expensive player in football history. Today, he finally got that weight off his shoulders.
Talking to Canal +, Pogba said that: “I play for the France team. It’s not the Pogba team. We’re not going to start talking individual. I play for the team and I always play for the team. It’s not always nice to hear criticism, but that’s football. I stay focused on the field. I always give my all. Then, I try to make big benefits and give the best of myself. I am a person who tries things. We always grow and learn. I’m still young. I have goals, we have goals. We want to go to the World Cup.”
Now that he has managed to get back to the score sheet, Pogba will try to improve and maybe even be important for his club as well. Next Sunday, Manchester United visits Anfield Road to face Liverpool and Pogba will surely feature against the Reds. Jose Mourinho is already expecting him to shine in the same way he did against Holland this Monday.
