No deal between West Ham, Everton

Kevin Mirallas football news

Football News: Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has been linked with West Ham United on transfer deadline day.

West Ham United made an inquiry for Kevin Mirallas but Everton rejected it, according to The Daily Mail (Transfer blog, 08:11am, August 31, 2017).
It has been reported that the Hammers made an enquiry for the 29-year-old, but the Toffees immediately turned it down.

Sky Sports News have claimed on social networking site Twitter that the Hammers’ offer for the Belgium international was a loan deal.

Mirallas has been on the books of Everton since 2012 when he joined from Olympiacos for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £6 million, but the Belgium international winger is not guaranteed a place in the Toffees’ starting lineup.

The 29-year-old signed a new contract with the Merseyside outfit in May 2017 that will see him remain at the Premier League club until June 2020.
Although the former Olympiacos winger will struggle for regular playing time this season, Everton manager Ronald Koeman should retain his services for the 2017-18 campaign in order to maintain depth in his squad.

West Ham have made a disappointing start to the 2017-18 Premier League season and have lost all three of their league fixtures so far.
