Murray United signs Archie Thompson

Soccer Update: National Premier Leagues club Murray United has announced it has signed Melbourne Victory legend Archie Thompson.

United, who are housed at La Trobe University’s Wodonga campus, play in NPL2 East.

After calling time on his decorated professional career, Thompson signed for Victorian NPL side Heidelberg United, based in Melbourne’s inner northeastern suburbs.

Thompson made just two appearances for the Warriors.

Thompson still holds an ambassadorial role with Victory, where he played 224 games and scored 90 goals.
