Diego Simeone breaks down why best clubs want Griezmann

Soccer Update: Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone says he is not surprised that the world’s top clubs are interested in striker Antoine Griezmann.

And Simeone insists he is not a manager to hold a player back if they wish to make a move away from a club.

“I don’t tie anybody down, I simply keep working to continue getting better for the sake of the club,” he told a press conference.

“He is in an extraordinary moment, is working well, has got back on the scoresheet and his form is good.

“It is normal that the best teams in the world want him. I am not surprised that the teams who are looking are the ones who can afford him.”

If reports are to be believed Griezmann will make the move to Old Trafford at the end of the season and if he is to leave Atletico he will want to leave his mark.

He is already well on his way to doing so with 12 goals from 25 appearances this season.
