Cesc Fabregas urged to find another club

Cesc Fabregas football news

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly told Cesc Fabregas that he can find another club.

The midfielder hasn’t started any of the Italian’s three Premier League games in charge, and after three victories that doesn’t look like changing any time soon.

Fabregas only joined the Blues in 2014, but Conte believes the midfielder’s work rate isn’t good enough.

With hard running a key part of the Italian’s style of play, he thinks that the 29-year-old is too lazy to fit in to his system.

Conte’s style has certainly worked well so far, with the team picking up wins against Watford, West Ham, and Burnley in the top flight.

However, they are still short in certain areas of their squad, especially defence.

John Terry, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Kurt Zouma are the Blues’ only senior defenders, and they will be on the lookout for new recruits in the final few days of the transfer window.

Kalidou Koulibaly is one centre-back who they have been linked with, and they are also rumoured to be close to signing left-back Marcos Alonso
