Cesc Fabregas gives critics a piece of his mind
Football News – Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hit back at his critics following his side’s 1-0 win over Sunderland on Thursday morning.
Fabregas got the game’s sole goal to continue his return to form as the Blues extended their winning streak to 10 matches in the Premier League.
And the Spaniard says he is glad to be given an extended run in the team in recent weeks by boss Antonio Conte.
“In football today people forget very, very, very quickly who you are, and what you can do,” he told BBC Sport.
“Hopefully now I can get a run of games in the team. You have seen many times that teams win titles with 1-0 wins.
“Hopefully we can keep it up. But the result doesn’t reflect the game.”
The 29-year-old has seen his role limited this season under the stewardship but has been rewarded for his strong form in recent matches.
Chelsea this weekend will look to extend their winning streak to 11, as they close in on the Premier League record of 13 straight wins, when they travel to Crystal Palace.
